Iain graduated from Cambridge University in 1981. He worked at mixed practices in Newbury, Cheshire and the Cotswolds before joining the practice in 1987 and becoming a partner in 1989. He has been involved in all aspects of mixed practice but is now particularly busy with the small animal side. He is also the official Joint Measurement Board measurer.
Iain’s interests outside of veterinary work include his lifelong love of sailing, ballroom dancing, his Springer Spaniel Layla, photography, skiing and walking... to name just a few!
Partner - BVetMed MRCVS
Tim qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1990 and joined the practice here in Market Harborough in 1991. Since becoming a partner in 1996 Tim has continued to develop the small animal side of the practice, including the creation of the new, state-of-the-art small animal clinic. There have been many advances in pet medicine in recent years, and Tim plays an active role in ensuring the practice keeps up to date with all the latest developments.
He enjoys the daily variety of cases but gets the most pleasure from following the lives of his patients from their very first visit through to their senior years.
Partner - BVM&S Cert(Int Med) Dipl ECEIM MRCVS
Qualifying from Edinburgh University in 1999, John’s veterinary career began in a Lanarkshire mixed practice. From there, John then went to Glasgow University Veterinary School working on various specialisms at the equine hospital. It was at Glasgow that John gained the coveted Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Equine Internal Medicine.
Moving to the Midlands he has spent time in equine practices in Warwickshire and Rutland. In 2005, by examination and by the recent publication of his research into equine clinical parasitology, John attained the Diploma of the European College of Internal Medicine. This Diploma is recognised as the highest accolade of its type. John is particularly interested in internal medicine, lameness diagnostics and stud medicine (including embryo transfer).
John has a black terrier named Oreo.
Partner - BVetMed MRCVS
Michael was first introduced to the practice as a sixteen year old school pupil for a week of work experience in December 2000. He started his training at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, in 2003 and regularly returned to Town & Country for his farm, equine and small animal placements until graduating in 2008.
Following graduation, Michael returned to the practice as an Assistant Mixed Animal Vet where he worked for 18 months before moving to Reigate, Surrey. Michael spent two and a half years in Reigate as a small animal vet developing his surgical skills before accepting another small animal vet position in Northampton.
In September 2014, Michael returned to Town & Country Veterinary Centre as a small animal vet and became a partner at the practice in August 2016. He has two dogs, Maggie the Basset Hound and Barnaby the Shih Tzu.
Sandy graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1998 and has spent the last 17 years in Equine practice. He completed a Residency in Equine Orthopaedics at the Weipers Centre, Glasgow in 2005.
During his career he has worked in a wide variety of practices, from single-handed practices to large Veterinary hospitals (including Rainbow Equine Hospital and Oakham Veterinary Hospital) and his work has taken him all over the country from Inverness to Surrey.
One of Sandy's achievements was the Award of a Winston Churchill Fellowship which allowed him to visit vet schools in Florida and Michigan to look at new technologies for veterinary medicine.
Recently Sandy was the Clinical Director at Kessock Equine Vets and just prior to joining Town and Country was working in Morpeth, Northumberland.
Sandy's clinical interests include lameness evaluation and treatment alongside all aspects of first opinion practice.
Outside of work Sandy is learning to fly fixed wing planes and completed his first solo flight recently. He also enjoys watching rugby and playing cricket (although his rugby playing days are now behind him!)
Werner qualified in July 2017 from Ghent University in Belgium where he majored in Equine Medicine. He enjoys equine imaging, orthopaedic and his favourite aspect is ultrasound!
Werner has a long back ground in the equine world, his family have a physiotherapy centre at home in Belgium and his dad is a Farrier! Safe to say it runs in the family!
Antonio graduated in July 2018 from the University of Bari Aldo Moro in Italy.
After graduating and some training experiences in Europe, Antonio decided to move to the UK finding a professional and warm atmosphere in Town & Country Veterinary Centre.
Antonio likes his country house in Italy and making wine every year in September.
BA VetMB MRCVS
Neeleigh graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2012 having previously worked as a Saturday assistant at Town and Country when she was at school and returning regularly as a veterinary student whilst training.
Neeleigh joined the team of vets here in September 2019 and is enjoying the varied caseload and getting to know the clients. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practise but has a particular interest in working up medical cases.
Outside of work Neeleigh’s interests include macro nature photography and she also has a growing collection of exotic snails including two Giant African Land Snails called Rex and Darcy.
Natalia Lozano Bartolome
Natalia qualified at Complutense University of Madrid and has gained some excellent experience in a variety of externships in equine clinics across France and the UK.
Natalia worked in a referral hospital in the West Midlands whe she has developed a particular interest and skills in anaesthesia, internal medicine and lameness.

Harriet is our head nurse and leads our team of five nurses. After qualifying from the RVC in 2009, Harriet has gained a wealth of experience. She has worked in private practice, a charity hospital and also for a veterinary nursing college before joining our team in April 2015.
Harriet completed her Critical Care and Emergency Nursing Certificate in March 2018. Harriet has two cats at home, brother and sister, Hugo and Taffy.

Franki graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2013. She joins us with a variety of experience including leadership roles, referral practice and work in an intensive care team. Franki has a certificate in exotic nursing and canine and feline behaviour management.
Franki has two dogs at home called Darcy and Dino who live happily alongside Percy the cat.
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Bekkii is the newest member of our nursing team. Having been qualified for two years at her training practice, Bekkii decided to move closer to home.
Bekkii enjoys nurse consultations and is looking forward to developing our Puppy Parties over the next few months.
Bekkii has a keen interest in clay pigeon shooting. She has one cat called Fred and two border terriers named Poppy and Oscar.

Mollie completed her training at the College of Animal Welfare in March 2019. Mollie particularly enjoys Emergency and Critical Care Nursing.
Mollie has a horse named Ninja and a Bulldog called Moo Bear.
Student Veterinary Nurse
Sarah is our newest Student Veterinary Nurse who started college this September. You may previously recognise Sarah from our Reception Team - it has been her dream to become a Veterinary Nurse! After spending the past year achieving all the entry requirements we are delighted to welcome Sarah to our Nursing Team.
Sarah is one whisker away from being a crazy cat lady and has two cats at home named Shortbread and Figgy Pudding.
Chloe joined Town & Country Veterinary Centre in 2015 after graduating from university with a BSc in Applied Equine Studies and Business. Chloe is the equine technician, supporting the equine team and assisting our equine clients with their queries. At home, Chloe has a horse called Daisy and together they event at low level, a retired pony called Bruno and a rescue cat called Stumpy.
Ann joined T&C Vets in 2014 as practice manager and looks after the day to day running of the practice, a lot of the work that goes on behind the scenes.
She feels very privileged to be part of a committed team in such a caring and compassionate environment and finds it an incredibly interesting and fulfilling role.

Customer Services Manager
Diane heads up our great Reception Team and is responsible for Customer Services. Diane has been with us for over 14 years and knows “all things Town & Country”.
Diane has previously worked for the NFU and is a familiar and helpful face to many of our clients. She particularly enjoys speaking to all of our clients and arranging our 'Any Vet Any Time Visits'.
Diane loves looking after her grand-dog Lola and cat Winston.
Pet Insurance Administrator
Luisa has been with the practice since July 2014 after moving from Brighton to Leicestershire. Starting off on reception, she now looks after the Client insurance claims for both Small Animal and Equine which keeps her very busy.
Luisa has a parrot called Red and two rats named Vodka and Coke.
Julie joined our reception team in August 2014 and enjoys the interesting and varied nature of her job as no two days are ever the same. Julie loves to meet the clients and make a fuss of their pets. “Being a receptionist is a very rewarding job. It's always a pleasure to meet and talk to like-minded people who love their pets.” Julie has a gorgeous border collie named Oscar and two hens, Elsa and Anna.
Joining us in February 2015, Laura came to work with Town & Country Veterinary Centre as a receptionist following a 10 year position as a bookkeeper for a city firm. With a strong background in customer services she has been able to utilise her skills within our busy practice to help give our clients and their pets a positive experience when visiting. She has enjoyed getting to know our clients and their companions and in particular has a love of our smaller furry visitors, having her own pet rabbit, Gizmo, whom is thoroughly spoilt!
Ellie joined our team in November 2017. Ellie previously studied horse management at Moulton College before working on a Showjumping Yard.

Afternoon Reception Manager
Claire joined our Reception Team in July 2018. She graduated from university with a degree in Animal Welfare and Management and went on to work in animal rescue centres and customer service. Claire really enjoys answering our telephones and helping clients as much as she can.
At home, Claire has a cocker spaniel called Dale and a rabbit called Wesley.
Lauren has been with the practice since July 2019. Having previously worked in customer service, Lauren is adapting her skills to her position within the reception team.
At home, Lauren has an energetic springer spaniel named Harley who enjoys going for long walks in the countryside.
Lauren really enjoys meeting all of the puppies that come to the practice on a Wednesday evening for our Puppy Parties!
Lauren joined our Reception Team in October 2019. Having previously worked in the dentistry profession, Lauren decided it was time for a change.
Lauren's favourite parts of the job is welcoming all of the furry visitors, particularly the puppies!
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her three hourses, Oliver, Joey and Sonny.
