Dr David Platt

Dr David Platt BVSc CVR PhD DEO FRCVS

Having qualified in 1985 from Liverpool University, David moved to Cambridge University as a registrar. David then joined the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology to complete a PhD researching joint disease, during which time he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for his contribution to research into equine arthritis.

David then moved to the Royal Veterinary College as a lecturer in equine surgery, where he attained his specialist RCVS Diploma in Equine Orthapaedic Surgery. In 1998 he left academia and became a consultant equine surgeon in private practice.

Sarah Jones

Sarah Jones VetMB MA MRCVS

Sarah graduated from Cambridge University in 2006 and spent her first three working years in a mixed practice in North Wales. She then moved onto a dedicated equine practice in Yorkshire and is now looking forward to continuing horse work in Market Harborough.  Sarah has a keen interest in polo ponies but also enjoys all other aspects of equine practice.

When not working most of Sarah's waking hours (and some of the ones that should be spent sleeping) are occupied with looking after and playing polo on her three Argentinian horses, Jubilee, Mariana and Moro (pictured). She isn't as good at the game as the horses but enjoys it as much as they do!

Sade Adeleye

Sade Adeleye BvetMed MRCVS

Sade graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2009. She has particular interests in farm work and small animal medicine but is keen to be involved in all aspects of mixed practice. During her training as a veterinary surgeon she spent time gaining large animal experience in Australia, and as a mark of the diverse nature of her interests completed her final year project by finding that prostaglandin is in fact present in the Asian Elephant!

Emma Nettleton

Emma Nettleton BVSc MRCVS

Emma grew up on a mixed farm in Yorkshire and joined us after graduating with distinction from the University of Liverpool. Emma is a keen and accomplished horsewoman and competes with top level working hunters. Emma was placed RIHS and HOYS in 2010 and won the British Open Grand Prix. She also rides side saddle, competes in the ladies hunter section and the BSJA. Emma won the Barrie Edwards Equine Clinical Studies Prize whilst at University, awarded for achieving the highest mark in equine exams. Well done Emma, this is an achievement to be very proud of. In 2010, after winning the BEVA Queen Mother Student Travel Award, Emma spent 6 weeks in Australia working with racehorses. Emma thoroughly enjoys all elements of mixed practice and when time allows, can often be found either on the hockey pitch or the tennis court. Emma moved to Leicestershire with Jinx (Parson Terrier), and Pip (the horse).

Bradley Hill

Bradley Hill BVetMed MRCVS

Bradley graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2008 and previously worked as an equine vet in both Solihull and Doncaster before joining our equine team in October. Bradley is interested in all aspects of equine practice and is a keen horseman himself.

Outside of work Bradley has been involved in both show jumping and eventing to a high level, previously travelling and supporting Di Lampard and her team across Europe. At present he part owns event horse ‘Spider’. Spider is stabled in Gumley and Bradley plays an active role in his training and development. Spider is currently being produced by international event rider Simon Grieve. No doubt you will meet Bradley (and his whippet, Stanley) on their rounds soon.
