Free Visits with our new 'Any Vet, Any Time' vaccination scheme
No visit fee will be charged when an 'Any Vet, Any Time' vaccination visit is requested provided the following conditions are met:
- YOU DO NOT REQUEST A SPECIFIC VET.
- YOU DO NOT REQUEST A SPECIFIC TIME OR DATE. You will be informed the afternoon before the visit of the approximate time a vet will be in attendance the following day. If an emergency occurs, the approximate time is subject to change but we will make every effort to keep the appointment on that date.
- Due to time allocation being for vaccination only, please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate any additional 'while you are here' work. If the vet has got time and the necessary equipment, a surcharge of £20 will apply in addition to the normal treatment cost.
An 'Any Vet, Any Time' appointment will be attended no later than 1 week from the date of request. If a date and time is offered but declined within that week, the next appointment will be within 7 days following the date that was declined.
Why do we charge visits fees outside this scheme?
Within the 'Any Vet, Any Time' scheme and when horses attend our clinic for treatment we can minimise our time spent travelling and the associated costs. This is not the case on visits that are beyond the scheme. To travel to a client we require a vehicle, insurance, tax, diesel etc. It also takes up a considerable amount of professional time. If we were to stop charging visit fees, it would be necessary to substantially inflate our other charges to cover these costs. We have chosen not to substantially inflate our fees and believe the fairer approach is to be totally transparent and competitive with our pricing structure.
At Town and Country Veterinary Centre you will be provided with a detailed and itemised account for each procedure or item that you have purchased from us, demonstrating exactly what we have charged, with no hidden charges.
What does this mean to you?
The single horse owner:
You will be charged competitively for any work done.
The yard or multiple horse owner:
You will not be penalised by paying a hidden visit charge on each horse rather than a single charge for each visit. A single visit charge with Town and Country Veterinary Centre can be split by up to four owners.
